THIS WEEK's UPDATES
Morning procedures
The new morning procedures have received positive feedback so far. Please note that anyone arriving after 8.45am, will be put in the door late book. This is no different to the book we previously kept at the gate and figures are collated at the end of term for punctuality of pupils to school. Anyone arriving after the gate has been locked must go to the front entrance.
Health Advice
There have been increases in the numbers of cases regarding measles and hand, foot and mouth at the moment in schools. If you have any concerns about the health of your child, please seek medical advice. Children with temperatures and sickness should not be in school. Any spots should be decreasing in size and number and should be dry before returning to school. The NHS website is very helpful for symptoms and advice.
Please not that hand, foot and mouth has no connection with Foot and Mouth associated with animals
Email – info@cuddington.surrey.sch.uk
Unfortunately the office has been unable to receive or send emails from the above email address. The fault has been reported and although attempts have been made to rectify the problem to date there has been no success. Therefore if you wish to leave a message or require any information please telephone or hand in a letter to the office.
Wisepay – online payment system
Thank you to everyone who has used the online payment system and for your patience. We appreciate that some parents have had problems accessing wisepay because the link is currently not accessible on the school website – which we are trying to update. It is still possible to access the wisepay login screen by typing the link below in the browser tab. If you do not have internet access the office will be more than happy to help you login using the school computer. After you have logged on to Wisepay using the login details in your letter and have reached the payment screen it is possible for you to edit your password, however this will change your username to your email address. It is therefore important that on the payment screen you check that your correct email address is entered.
Once this method of payment is up and running we hope to operate a cashless system for all trips / activities.

PREVIOUS NEWS THAT MIGHT STILL BE OF INTEREST
Read Write Ink Cards – Year R and Year 1
As mentioned at the parent coffee mornings, if any parent would like to purchase a set of Read Write Ink Cards we now have a supply available from the school office. They are priced at £5.00 per set.
Emma’s Bubble Trust
The above charity was set up in memory of Emma, a former pupil of Cuddington, who wanted to help fellow young cancer sufferers. Emma’s Bubble Trust is fulfilling that commitment for her. To support this charity and young cancer sufferers we are selling pink lemonade breath fresheners for £1.50. They can be purchased in the playground or from the school office. (Please see Mrs Bates)
Thank you
DON'T FORGET we are collecting vouchers from SAINSBURYs and Tescos
Collection boxes are in the main corridor. Thank you for your support.
Parentmail – Buy 4 Schools
Buy4Schools is a new school fundraising service bought to you by ParentMail, which rewards parents as well as schools for everyday shopping.
Parents can purchase items from 2,000 major retailers accessible through Buy4Schools. Every purchase generates cash back which is split 50/50 between parents and the school.
Parents can buy many different items, from insuring their cars, to buying a new TV or even a book or CD. Amongst the retailers that are part of this scheme are Asda, PC World, Tesco Direct and Boots.
It is quite simple to register, go to the web link www.buy4schools.co.uk , click join and enter your email address and create a password. Your account has now been created. You can now browse the retailers that are listed on the left of the screen and shop online.
If you login via Buy4schools everytime you want to make an online purchase from a major retailer you can earn a discount or cashback for yourself and the school. Once your account reaches £10 you will be able to transfer the balance into the account of the school.
Give it a try it is really easy and there are no contracts or obligations involved.
Hi de Hi Campers!
The PSA are organising a family camping weekend on the school field on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 June. There has been a lot of interest so far and it promises to be a fun weekend. More details and information will be made available in the coming weeks. Please keep the date free in your diary
REMINDERS
PLEASE REMEMBER that Cuddington is a nut free school. This is due to the number of pupils in school with nut allergies and the high level of risk for their health if they come into contact with nuts and nut related products. Therefore, please ensure that any food coming into school does not contain nuts. This includes packed lunches, birthday treats etc. Any parents making cakes or biscuits for cake sales and birthdays must let us know if nuts are included so that we can ensure there are alternative options available. Thank you for your co operation
Headlice
We are aware that there are some cases of headlice in school. The best approach is for every parent to check their child each week and then to treat as soon as something is spotted. A good website to access for further information is www.onceaweektakeapeek.com
Playground
Please do not allow your child to ride their scooter / bike in the playground before or after school. Also children should not be climbing on the school playground equipment.
Helping in School
Don’t forget that anyone helping regularly in school must have an up to date CRB check in place. Forms are available online. Enquire at the school office for further details.
Hair accessories
A reminder that all hair which can be tied back should be pulled back off the child’s face in a ponytail or in a plait(s). Accidents can be caused by fancy hairbands and accessories. Therefore all hair accessories must be plain and flat to avoid any possible injuries if children collide during play.
With best wishes
