Educational Visits

We think it is important for pupils to make educational visits as part of their school work.

This gives them the first-hand knowledge and experiences that are so vital for real learning to take place.

Recently, pupils have visited:

  • The Tower of London
  • Bocketts Farm
  • Hampton Court Palace
  • Chessington World of Adventures
  • London Zoo
  • Guildford Air-Hop
  • Wembley Stadium
  • Birdworld
  • West Wittering Beach
  • Bourne Hall
  • Kew Gardens
  • Local places of worship - Church, Mosque, Temple
  • Local places of interest, including local parks

We may also have theatre groups, authors, and musicians visiting the school to enrich and develop the children’s creative and aesthetic abilities.

Pupils in Year 5 or 6 have the opportunity to go on a residential school journey. This is organised to give pupils the chance to develop independence, apply their learning in a different context, develop their social skills and to take part in activities that are new and challenging. The social aspect is also important as the children learn to be independent and away from home.
